Have you ever turned on a light in a dark room? Before you did, it was probably hard to see. In the darkness, you didn’t know where to go. You might’ve even felt a little scared! Then suddenly, there was light. Just like that, it all became clear. You felt safe to move around again without fear of what you couldn’t see before. When we allow God into our lives, God’s light does the same for us. It shines in us and through us to light up our whole lives. Not only does it help us see where to go and what to do and can also light the way for others. When we let God’s light shine in our lives, we’re not just opening ourselves up to more confidence and joy; we’re opening others up to it, too!

Who in your life do you want to be a light to? Write their name down somewhere you’ll see it often. When you do, pray that God will show you how you can share God’s light with that person this week.
