If you needed a tool to protect you from danger, what would you pick? Likely most of us wouldn’t immediately think of something like Scripture as that tool. However, as Christians, that’s one of the best defenses we have against anything in this life. There, we learn that God acts as a shield to protect us. When we need rescue, help, or saving, God is there to provide all that and more. Not only that, God gives us Scripture to turn to no matter what troubles come our way. Because of that, we’ll always have the truth to press on.

When we feel weak, defeated, or like we simply can’t find the perseverance we need to go on, God’s Word gives us access to all the things we need to stand back up and keep going with God’s help. That is how we press on in the waiting, in the challenges, in any season or circumstance that threatens to keep us down. Where in your life do you need a little help to keep going? With that in mind, read this verse as a prayer over that part of your life, believing God will help you press on and persevere when you need it most.
