Faith & Love: A One Year Bible Reading Plan - Part 10Sample

Faith & Love: A One Year Bible Reading Plan - Part 10

DAY 16 OF 23

In the first verse, Paul addresses Timothy as “his son”. This expresses his love and commitment to him personally and follows with the powerful insight that explains the posture required to understand the power of Christ working in him. He commands Timothy to “be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus”.

When we understand that this “free” gift not only changed our position in Christ but also works in us to be all and do all to fulfil our destiny. To be strong in grace is to:

· Live with a reference of freedom from slavery.

· Posture our lives to live from victory and not for victory.

· Stand in authority, higher than any temptation, accusation, and intimidation.

· Display the glory of God through testimony of our lives.

· Show the unconditional love of Christ to those who need it most.

To be strong in grace is to understand that I am continually being empowered to achieve more, to live to the full, and to enjoy the gift of life in fellowship with the Holy Spirit and the community I live in.

How would my attitude change towards the challenges that are confronting me daily? Would I be able to adjust my thoughts to this reality of grace? Is this the truth I choose to build my life on?

Paul uses the following verses to explain that when we are “strong in the grace”, we will endure, overcome and complete what is set before us. We are all called to reign through His faithful love.
