Faith & Love: A One Year Bible Reading Plan - Part 10

DAY 15 OF 23

It is not God’s intention to embarrass or humiliate any of His children. No, God is a Father who loves His own and is proud of us, and His will is that you and I will not allow fear to overcome us but that we will walk boldly and freely in a hostile world that wants to intimidate us and silence us as children of God.

Paul, abandoned by most, stripped of all comforts in a prison space, awaiting the death sentence…encourages Timothy to share in his sufferings… as a faithful servant of Jesus. He reminds him that we have received two very powerful things from God:

1. The Good news that can save men.

2. The power to live as a testimony of Jesus Christ.

It is the Holy Spirit living inside of us that empowers us to live for Christ. Not to be ashamed, but living testimonies of His love today. Your trust and faith in God’s power today can make the difference in someone else’s life for eternity.

Are you ashamed of Christ? Do you fear what people will do or say if they know that you love God?

God does not want to embarrass you, but He wants to love others through you. He wants to plant seeds of faith through your testimony in the heart of those He loves. So, let us not be ashamed of Him today.
