DAY 5 OF 21

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NAS) Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

What is the difference between a new creation and a re-creation?

A re-creation is a restoration of something that already existed. A new creation is the creation of something that never existed before. You are not a remodel of the old man, you are born again, brand new. You are a new creation in Christ Jesus.

The enemy will try to tell you, “Nothing has changed, you are the same.” But he is a liar! You are a new creation in Christ!

The word “new” is not just something that is brand new, but it carries with it the idea of something that is superior.

The word "creature" in the Greek is the word “ktisis.” It is the same word used to describe the creation of the world. When God created the universe, he used no existing material or old elements to make it. Everything in creation was newly made. God uses the same word to describe what happened to you the moment you got saved. Everything about you is new! You are not an amended, corrected, improved version of what you used to be. You are absolutely a brand-new creation! You are completely detached from the person you once were before Christ.

You need to refresh your mind with the truth of who you are in Christ. You need to make fresh again the “fact” that you are a new creation in Christ!

Your affirmation declaration for today is… I am not what I used to be! I am a new creation in Christ Jesus, the old is gone, and everything is made new!
