Beyond: Living UnshakableSample

Prayer also causes our love exchange with Jesus to grow and become unshakable. Humbly seeking God, through prayer is a sure way to deepen our affections towards Jesus. Jesus loves when we pour out our love through prayer.

There truly is no formula or pattern to boldly approaching the throne room of God in order to pray. However, should prayer be foreign, we might initially approach prayer methodically. Then, allow Holy Spirit to lead us moving forward. First, offer gratitude and thanksgiving to the Lord for all He has done, is doing and will do. Second, like the Psalmist in Psalm 139, ask Holy Spirit to search and highlight any areas pointing to repentance – then repent. Third, like the woman pouring out her perfume, rest in silence at the feet of Jesus and trust Jesus to respond. Fourth, trust Holy Spirit to lead prayer. Whether it be repentance or petitions, He will lead you into all truth.

Today, sit with the Lord and allow Him to search your heart for a moment. Be encouraged to ask:

Lord, do I struggle to pray?

Lord, do I believe and trust You desire to hear from me?

Lord, do I believe and trust You desire to speak to me and I can hear You?

With God’s grace and Holy Spirit leading, resolve to grow beyond comfort zones and live unshakable by determining to be more intentional about growing in your prayer life with Jesus.

Prayer: Father, thank You for sending Jesus to make the way for me to boldly enter the throne room of grace! Thank You for desiring to hear from me, and Your desire to speak to me. God, please search my heart in this moment. Help me see where I may be called to repent. Holy Spirit, lead me in moments of silence as I wait for You to respond. Jesus, thank You for communing with me. In the Name of Jesus I pray and give thanks, amen.
