DAY 2 OF 11

Wisdom Comes from God

James 1:5

But if any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. God is generous. He enjoys giving to all people, so God will give you wisdom.

One night while Solomon was sleeping, God talked to him through his dream. God asked him what he wanted, and God would give it to him. Solomon humbly asked for wisdom so that he could rule the Israelites wisely and to know what was right and what was wrong in God’s eyes.

God was so pleased with this request because instead of asking for something for his own satisfaction, Solomon requested for something that he would use to help other people. God did not only give him wisdom, but He also gave him great wealth and fame because of his unselfishness. The Bible tells us that Solomon is known as the wisest man who ever lived on earth.

Wisdom is not just about knowledge or intelligence. Wisdom is about knowing how to make good choices based on learning and experiences or to make good judgements. God is the greatest and the best source of wisdom.

Just like Solomon, with God’s wisdom upon you, you will make the right decisions in your daily life. If you feel confused, come to God and ask for wisdom on how to handle your situation.

Prayer

Dear God, give me wisdom in every decision I need to make and in every challenge I have to face. Amen.
