"Who is Jesus? He is God Incarnate!"
When the Father declared, ‘This is my beloved Son’ to Jesus, He was speaking to Jesus, the man with flesh and blood who lived around 2000 years ago. And He said this when Jesus was getting baptised on the banks of the river Jordan. And this is the amazing truth – that Jesus, the carpenter’s son, is the incarnate Son of God – God who became man. And when we think of it, we find it difficult to comprehend that the all-powerful, creator God who holds all things together has come to earth to be a part of humanity as a man – with all man’s weaknesses and limitations. And why should God do this – it is because of His love for mankind – that not only did God become man but Jesus died for the sin of man and that through faith in Jesus, sinful man is forgiven, transformed and has a destiny in eternity with God.
Lord Jesus, We thank you that you came to share in all our pain and weaknesses and at the same time lived a sinless life. We thank you that you died for us so that we have new life – a life of joy and peace in relationship with you. We thank you for the hope and assurance of eternal life that we have in you. In Jesus’ name.
