STATIONS OF THE CROSS - EASTER PLANSample
JESUS FALLS THE SECOND TIME
It's no surprise that Jesus falls a second time on His way to Calvary. He agonized in the garden of Gethsemane, knowing that He needed to suffer for the sins of all Mankind. He didn't want to suffer, but He chose to obey His Heavenly Father.
Roman soldiers beat Him with whips, laughed at Him, spat on Him, pierced His head with a crown of thorns, calling Him "King of the Jews." Although He was exhausted, He knew He had to keep going.
Have you ever felt like you couldn't continue? Life sometimes weighs us down, and we feel drained of all our energy and strength like Jesus did. It's tempting to give up right then and there. But we're not finished yet. We have to remain focused on God and keep our eyes fixed on the goal to win the prize for which God has called us heavenward in Christ Jesus.
