Living in the New

DAY 2 OF 6

Seek and You Shall Find

There is nothing in this world that can stop us from finding an answer when we seek to find it. But are we seeking?

We might have questions and doubts, maybe even fear and confusion about our life on this earth. All the answers are revealed in the Word of God. Every answer you will ever need to live life can be received through revelation from the Word of God. The Holy Spirit is within you. He is your Counselor, your Helper, and your Best Friend. He will counsel you and help you.

Daniel understood something through his study of the scriptures from the book of Jeremiah. His study of Jeremiah led to knowledge, which in turn formed a prayer. Without first having the knowledge, he wouldn’t have been able to pray about it. In the same way, the wise men from the east read the scriptures and knew about the birth of Jesus. They sought and they found.

The Bible says that people perish because of a lack of knowledge. I pray that you will not perish because you have access to knowledge more than ever before. #TheInternet. Let us thus equip ourselves with the knowledge of the Word of God and wear the full armour of God.

In today’s SnapChat generation, it can be difficult to pay attention to anything for more than just a few seconds, and investing time into the Word of God can seem like a daunting task. We are convinced that we have no time and are too busy for anything spiritual. But if Daniel, while being the governor of a nation, had the time to read the scriptures and study them, and if the wise men from the east travelled 2 years to see Jesus, then, not having time is a lie.

We often underestimate the necessity of spiritual things, and so do not give them enough time. Paul says to the church in Corinth, “So we don’t look at...what we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.” Let us fix our eyes on the things that are eternal so that we will be able to actively possess the finished work of Jesus and have the Knowledge of what those Finished Works are. If we do not know the finished work of Jesus, then we perish because of the lack of knowledge.

Day 1Day 3

About this Plan

Living in the New

Until we go to our eternal destiny, we live our lives here on this earth, the other side of heaven. In this Bible plan, Sarat Yellasiri describes the power that Christ has left with us to live this life to the fullest. But unfortunately, we aren't aware of how to do this. Embark on a journey to see a fuller picture to greatly understand the things of God.
