21 Days To A Teenager’s Spiritual Change

DAY 16 OF 21

On My Knees

There are days when prayer is simply hard work. Then there are days it seems so much easier to see all the needs that we should pray for, and pray for their fulfillment. However, we shouldn't forfeit it. Why? Why should we pray in the first place?

It's because prayer builds your relationship with God. Christianity is not a rulebook it is a relationship. Hence, prayer is a place where we enter into this relationship.

When we come honestly to God, we enter His territory in an amazing way. Hardly ever do we get closer to God than in prayer. When we pray, we can ask to experience the love of God. We can ask to be submerged in His love and to be able to share it. We can just let it soak and water all the dry spaces of our lives. We need to listen to His voice everyday and we totally need to talk to Him.

Prayer is as important to our life as daily taking care of our teeth. Of course we regularly go to the dentist, but to brush our teeth daily is our responsibility. Neglect neither of them!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you that I can pray to you and that you hear my prayers. God, awaken my prayer life and make prayer my joy and pleasure. Amen.

Challenge: Today, your challenge is to pray for an hour. Find a place where no one will disturb you. Leave your phone in a different room. If you want to, you can turn worship music on, then start praying. Meet Him! Meetings like these bring life. Do it regularly.
