DAY 32 OF 42

Be brave in prayer

We have an older home with an intercom system that was installed when the house was built way back when intercom systems were new. It would be really convenient for speaking to someone in the upstairs bedroom from the kitchen, except that it is old and doesn’t work 100% of the time. When I press the button to speak, I never know if the person on the other end is going to hear me, or if it will just blast scratchy static noises.

Thankfully, we know it is not like that with God. We know from the Word that when we pray, God hears us. The Bible tells us we can be confident that our prayers are heard by Him. In fact, it says “we are confident,” and this phrasing teaches us to pray with a heart that is certain it is heard. Praying in confidence isn’t optional, it’s faith. We can be brave in prayer, believing wholeheartedly, and confident that He hears us.

Lord, thank You for this promise that You hear me when I ask for anything. You are El Shama, the God who hears me, and I praise You! Father, thank You for the confidence to pray bravely in Your Name, Amen.

About this Plan

Choose Brave

There isn’t a woman on this earth who doesn’t struggle with fear, doubt, and uncertainty. Yet, through His Word, God lovingly reminds us over and over again not to live our lives in fear. Instead, He commands us to be strong and courageous…maybe even fearless. Why? Because He is with us. Joshua 1:9
