Brave to fight the good fight 

As women of God, we are called like Timothy to the life God has for us. This great call comes with great responsibility, and it means we have to put forth some effort. We’ll have to run from evil things - literally turn and move away from things that aren’t of God. We’re called to actively be in pursuit of righteousness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. We’re commanded to fight for true faith, defend what is rightfully ours, and protect the promises of God. Fighting is hard, but God knows it’s worth it because the goal of the fight - the promise - is eternal life. 

Being a woman of God isn’t a passive call. We must determine in our hearts to run, pursue, fight, and hold tight. Eternal life is in the balance and witnesses are watching. 

Father, thank You for this beautiful burden of being called Yours. Thank You for giving me vision to recognize evil, strength to stand strong in my faith, and power to pursue righteousness. Father, I take this call and responsibility seriously. Help me remember what I’m fighting for: eternal life with You. Thank You for making me brave to fight the good fight. Amen.
