Love God Greatly - Jonah

DAY 8 OF 28

God can always hear our prayers

Because of his disobedience, Jonah found himself in the belly of a big fish. Can you imagine a lonelier, scarier place to be? I wonder what Jonah was thinking? From the belly of that fish, Jonah cried out to the Lord and, of course, God heard him.

When we ask anything according to God´s will, He will hear us.

Let me say it again because I never get tired of it: When go to God with your most audacious dream, God hears you, providing you are praying according to His perfect will for you.

God heard Jonah´s cries in the belly of a fish and He will hear your cries wherever you are. His eyes are toward the righteous and His ears toward their cry (Psalm 34:15).

Have you ever felt that God doesn´t hear your prayers? Nothing could be further from the truth! He not only hears your cry, but He knows the words you are about to say even before they come out of your mouth (Psalm 139:4).

Heavenly Father, knowing that the Creator of the Universe hears my prayers gives me the peace and the joy my soul longs for. Thank You for the security I have in You. Amen.

About this Plan

Love God Greatly - Jonah

Regardless if we are an outsider, like the people of Nineveh, or an insider, like Jonah, to the Kingdom of God, the book of Jonah is a reminder that God goes to great lengths to demonstrate His grace and mercy to all. Be encouraged as you read this powerful story of God’s relentless grace and mercy, and may you never forget that no one is beyond redemption. May we all seek to love the loveless in our lives.
