Courageous Humility Pt. 1Sýnishorn
We see again, courage accompanied action and led to stepping towards Jesus for healing! But not only did the New Testament depict a courageous woman ready to receive healing she knew in her heart could only come from a touch of the Lord through Jesus, we see in the Old Testament God would heal as well. The psalmist proclaimed God heals the brokenhearted and through the prophet Jeremiah God said he would give back health and heal wounds.
Perhaps today, like the woman we read of with the issue of blood, we are ready to step towards healing found in Jesus Christ.
When reading today’s passages, what thoughts came to mind as you pondered the woman who had exhausted all resources?
Are there areas where you may feel you have essentially come to the end of all your abilities and options in the natural?
Are you hoping to encounter the Lord and experience healing in your spirit, heart, mind or body?
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You with the hopes of making our petitions known. Some of us are ready for healing. We trust You to heal the wounded places in our spirit, heart, mind, and body – or any combination of these areas of our lives. Help us to trust You for healing as we call out to You and enter into Your presence to “touch the hem of Your garment” in our own places of prayer. As we take a closer look in the coming days, I pray specifically for healing in the spirit, where the pride may be a permanent infection, festering and embedding itself, but like a cancer not always making itself known. Bring healing in this area FIRST – so our eyes will see and ears hear, if there may be other areas in our souls needing healing. Thank you Jesus Christ, amen.
About this Plan
Be strong. Be Alert. Be Courageous. These words are the premise of this 30 day study where you will uncover God's desire for you to call out to Him and trust He will hear. Not only hear, but set you on sure footing, a path He sets before you, for your sake and the sake of those around you. From there you will dig into Scripture around what it means to courageously step into God's presence, how to do so, and what you can expect as a result of going into His presence. Finally, you will be encouraged to step towards the healing Christ offers, both individually, and as the collective Bride of Christ. Each day you will be encouraged to ask questions, seek answers in God and His Word, and identify the step YOU sense the Holy Spirit compelling you to take. Courage accompanies ACTION, and Christ reveals to us where to move next, while the Holy Spirit empowers us to do so!
