God’s Will Is Above AllSýnishorn
God’s Will Is Above All
THE WILL OF GOD IS SUPREME
MAIN IDEAS:
• When Judas saw that Jesus had been sentenced to death, he understood what he had done and tried to fix everything, but it was too late, so he ended his life.
• Jesus does not give Pilate any answers, knowing that nothing can be changed since it is all according to the will and timing of God.
• Neither Pilate’s wife intervening on His behalf, nor the attempt to pardon Him proved to be of any help.
• Fulfilling the sovereign will of God cannot be manipulated, and Jesus totally obeys the will of the heavenly Father.
Realizing the damage he had done, Judas tried to go back on the agreement he had with the religious leaders by returning their money, but seeing that he could not do anything to change the situation, he decided to punish himself and committed suicide. Trying to understand why He is sentenced to death, Pilate does not get any answers, since JESUS knew that everything had already been decided – not by people on earth but by GOD. He does not wish to make any changes in the sovereign and perfect will of the Father. He has said it several times up to this point: “For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.”
Through His death, JESUS was paying the price for the sins of the entire world. In the same way, sometimes, things in our life may seem like a punishment or a bad thing, but later on, we see how it has brought us great spiritual benefits, maybe even the salvation of our soul. Pilate realized that JESUS was innocent and, at the behest of his wife, tried taking another path to save Him by giving Him a pardon; however, this attempt failed as well. Through His sacrifice on the cross, JESUS gave you the right to be God’s child, that is, His brother. If you accept salvation through faith in the Name of JESUS and wish to let yourself stay under the sovereign will of the Father, you will get a life led by GOD, through the Holy Spirit, in which you do not worry about tomorrow. All things work according to God’s will, in God’s time, and nothing will happen to you that God does not know about.
