DAY 4 OF 12

The Essence of a Diva

Before anything was in existence, there was wisdom. Wisdom was a constant companion of God as He spoke the world into existence and created all of its boundaries.

Wisdom was what Eve was meant to be to Adam. A helpmeet in the completion of all that he envisioned. Wisdom was strength, knowledge, and insight realized. Wisdom was knowledge and understanding put into action. Making right and righteous choices that were in alignment with the mind of God. Yes, Wisdom was the counsel of God personified, working in tandem with the Word.

Wisdom was in complete harmony with God, resonating with His decisions, celebrating His choices, and remaining submitted to His sovereignty. Although she knew, she recognized that it could not be divine apart from God. She made righteous judgments, and all her determinations were fruitful. Every design, strategy, and determination reflected God’s power and glorified Him.

Her passion was imparting to others what she knew and empowering them to live the life that God had designed for them before the beginning of time.

Being in the presence of God puts everything in divine perspective. Wisdom knew that apart from God, she knew nothing, but in His presence, not only was there fullness of joy but also completely unlimited understanding.

As social media swirls around us, distracting many from the essence of who they truly are as they struggle to catch up and keep up with every new trend, one has to push the pause button and say, “Wait a minute! Who am I really, minus all the trappings and wrappings? How do I impact the world around me? Do the choices I make and the character I reflect leave a positive legacy in my wake? What message am I sending to others? What will people remember me for?”

How do you reflect your true essence? It’s the difference between being the flavor of the month or being a lasting classic. You need wisdom to choose the right path. The path that leads to all the other things that you desire. The things that truly matter, which are of real and lasting value.

Div-otion

Dear heavenly Father, as I learn to trust You more, help me to forsake my natural reactions and respond in a wise and godly fashion. Let my decisions glorify You and bless others while being an example of true wisdom. Amen.
