Daughter, Do You Know Who You Are?

DAY 11 OF 30

You Are the Righteousness of God

The enemy will try to tell you that because of your sin and your past, you can never be right with God, and you will have to continue to suffer the consequences. I want to tell you that, yes, you cannot be right with God in your way or your righteousness because God says our righteousness is like filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6).

However, the good news is that on the cross, Jesus became our sin and nailed it to the cross! He took the full wrath of God upon Himself so that we wouldn’t have to! (Romans 3:21-26) When we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we take on His righteousness and become the righteousness of God through Him. Now, when God looks at us, He sees Jesus in us. He sees us as His children and a part of His Kingdom. The enemy will try to bring up your sin, but Jesus obliterated your sin once and for all. When we fall short, it’s the Lord who picks us back up when we repent of our sins and mistakes. It’s Jesus who laid down His life for us to be made right with God.

I want to encourage you to stand in this truth today because you can now have a right standing and relationship with the Father because of the shed blood of Jesus, and this my sister, will never ever change!

Prayer for today:

Jesus, I thank You that because of your shed blood on the Cross, I am now the righteousness of God. I thank You, Jesus, for taking the penalty of my sins upon yourself and making me in right standing and in fellowship with the Father. Lord, I ask that You help me to continue to stand in this truth and I rebuke the lies of the enemy! I declare today that I am forgiven, washed clean and I am the righteousness of God in Christ! In Jesus’ name, amen”
