This I Know: God Will Meet with Me
Have you ever been to Washington, D.C.? Here’s a true story. A young boy traveled there with his family. During his trip, he toured the White House. Along his tour, he encountered a barricade in one of the hallways. The guide politely explained the President was hosting a foreign dignitary, so the group would be detoured. As the crowd slowly turned to follow the guide, the boy peeked around the barricade. To his surprise, the President of the United States and his guest were walking toward the boy! Giddy with excitement, he waved hello. Both the President and the dignitary chuckled, waved back, and walked on.
The boy didn’t even get to meet the President. Didn’t get to dine with him or talk to him. The U.S. President probably didn’t want the boy to cross that barricade and enter his domain. But then there’s God. The Ruler of the Universe. You don’t have to travel or meet Him by luck. He’s your heavenly Father, and He wants to meet with you daily. He’s gone out of His way to remove barricades. Thanks to Jesus, we can enter His presence anytime we wish. Thanks to the Bible, we have His Word in our hands and our hearts.
God will meet with me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so.
Pray: Father, thank You for welcoming me into Your presence now. I’m humbled. Thank You for Jesus. Thank You for removing the barricade and inviting me in. Thank You for Your Word. Amen.
