There’s no denying that the cost of just about everything has gone up over the last few decades. Everywhere you look, food costs are now sky-high, furniture seems to have gone down in quality but up in dollar amounts, and the price of gas has many of us questioning whether we could walk a few miles to the store instead of driving. Daily iced coffees and trips to the movies are now a thing of the past. With costs rising so high, it’s only natural for us to choose to spend our money on items that we think will last. If we’re going to pay the high price, it will be on something that we see as an investment, right? That’s because you invest where you see value.
When God looks down on the people of Earth, He sees us all as something worthy to invest in. He knew the high cost and chose His Son as the ultimate sacrifice to pay for our sins. God has chosen to invest in you, using the only currency that can stand the test of time. That’s a gift that will not only change our lives today but for all time!
What are some ways that you can invest in your relationship with God? Maybe it’s choosing a devotional to focus on for the month, choosing to mentor a young person in your church, or even committing to spending a few moments each day in prayer.
