Real Life

DAY 25 OF 25

Death is inevitable. Our bodies, miracles that they are, were not made to last forever. While the amount of time we have available to us is different for everyone, in the end, we are all only here for a finite amount of time on Earth. The idea of having such a limited period causes some people to panic, leading them to do as much as they can, purchase as much as they can, and see as much as they can while they can. While some of that may be fun, it doesn’t change the fact that nothing lasts forever.

Well, almost nothing! While the life that we lead here on Earth may end, our eternal lives with Jesus Christ never will. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and work to live lives that reflect our love and obedience to Him, we’re promised a life beyond death. We may not have our Earthly bodies, but we will spend eternity in a place with no pain, stress, or strife. What a promise to hold on to! When day-to-day life begins to feel just a little too heavy, we can remind ourselves that our future will be better than we could ever imagine.

How does it feel to know that death is not the end of you? To know that the promise of God doesn’t just last for the time we have on Earth but is a promise that will take us into eternal life with Him? Talk to a friend or journal about it today!
