Real Hope: Radical Transformation

DAY 3 OF 5

Be Confident Of This

We have a powerful and mighty Saviour King who desires to be in relationship with us.

When we think of radical transformations, we often think of stories where people were instantly changed. Paul’s road to Damascus conversion, or stories of the addicts who become sober overnight after an encounter with God. These are all inspiring stories that show God’s incredible restorative power. But what about those life-long radical transformations?

When you look back at yesterday, chances are you won’t see much change in your life. But look back at where you were five years ago. Ten years ago. How has your heart and life changed? I came to know Jesus at 27, but my life and my heart didn’t change at 27. The work of the Holy Spirit over many years restored my heart and transformed me, in turn, transforming my life. God took a shattered and crushed heart and made it whole by His love and grace. I never believed I had any worth or was ever enough. But God’s tender restoration of my heart led to an identity change. I no longer saw myself through the lens of society, culture, and lies I had believed but through the eyes of my loving Heavenly Father. Where I once saw myself as unworthy, I now see myself as the daughter of the King of kings. I am a beloved child of the Great I Am.

He who started a good work in you is still doing a good work in you. God is not done yet. He loves us as we are but loves us too much to leave us as we are. Trust Him to treat your heart with tenderness as He makes you more like Jesus. Let Him draw you closer to His heart so He can radically transform yours.
