Hope That Restores What's Broken | a 7-Day Doxa Deo PlanSýnishorn
Addressing the brokenness
Christ is the hope of the world. As Christ-followers we join Christ in bringing hope to our world. Christ works through his Church. Our cities and communities are broken on so many levels, and can benefit greatly from the church’s strategic engagement.
Ephesians 1:23 MSG “The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence.”
As followers of Christ, we need to move beyond feeling concern for our community, to compassion for the people in our community.
Jeremiah 29:7 ESV “But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.”
Instead of condemning our city, we need to seek the peace and prosperity of our city.
Instead of falling into despair, we need to speak life.
Instead of building walls, we need to build bridges.
Proverbs 10:28 ESV “The hope of the righteous brings joy…”
Hope brings JOY to the world. Jesus Christ is good news of great joy for all people. We can rejoice in hope. We can rely on the Holy Spirit to bring hope into our world, through us. We can bring JOY into our world.
Hope – realigning communities to the Kingdom.
Which areas do you see that are broken in your world and need hope?
Pray for Godly people to get involved and restore hope.
