DAY 4 OF 18

The Sovereign and Mighty God

Jeremiah 32:17

Ah, sovereign Lord, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for You.

Huge waves crash onto the land and cause the ship and the crew to be in a dangerous situation, but God is mightier than the huge waves.

Wild wind can blow away trees, big buildings, houses or cars, but God is mightier than the wild winds.

Very strong wind and heavy rain can create a violent hurricane but God is mightier than the hurricanes.

Scientists study about the waves, storms or hurricanes and they can forecast when they will be coming and reach the land but they do not have the technology to stop or control them accurately. Only God can control them. Just a word from God can subdue them.

Sovereignty is supreme power. The sovereign God created and rules the entire universe, from the smallest insect on the ground to the largest star in the sky.

‘God is sovereign’ means that He has the ultimate power and authority. Put your faith in God's limitless power, in God’s sovereignty!

Prayer

Dear God, I might be so small living in a big and dangerous world but I know that the whole world is under Your control and power. You are a mighty and sovereign God! Amen.
