Love God Greatly: Everlasting Covenant

DAY 3 OF 28

What an amazing story. God was going to make a new nation and He chose Abram to be the father of this nation. There was only one problem: Abram had no children and both he and his wife were older, so the possibility of them having kids was pretty slim. God was not concerned nor surprised by this.

God’s power and faithfulness are manifested in Him choosing Abram and turning this man, who had no children and whose wife could not have children (so it seemed), into a nation. What is so amazing is that Abram believed God. He did not argue or doubt; He believed. Through this nation, the promised Messiah would come, and God will bring into His Kingdom people from every tribe, tongue, and nation. What a glorious day that will be.

Thank You, Lord, for being a God who can do miraculous things. Thank you for making promises that may sound impossible but to You are more than possible. Help us to believe Your promises. Amen.
