You Can Run, but You Can’t HideSýnishorn
Sometimes, during difficult chapters, it is easy to feel overlooked when there is so much going on around us. We can see our friends or family receiving blessings that we have been praying for ourselves. We can feel overwhelmed in a sea of people trying to get the same job we have been applying for. We can feel frustrated that things don’t seem to be working out, no matter what we do. Be encouraged that God has not forgotten you! He did not forget or overlook Hagar. In fact, He didn’t judge her or punish her. Instead, He met her where she was, rescued her from death in the desert, and brought her back to face her fear. He SAW her, and she knew him as “The God Who Sees Me.” That’s exactly what Jesus does for us. He will meet you where you are; He has not forgotten, and He SEES you. He knows what you are going through, and He will make a way for you.
Questions:
1. Have you ever felt like God doesn’t see you? When was that? Ask the Holy Spirit to come into that place and bring healing and awareness of the work He intends to do.
2. Write down a time when you know that God saw you and met you right where you needed him. Remind your soul today of His faithfulness.
About this Plan
Join Hillsong East Coast’s online experience and walk through this corresponding plan. This plan is based on Pastor Josh Kimes's September 2020 message, "You Can Run, but You Can’t Hide."
