Proclaiming The Gospel Of Jesus ChristSýnishorn
HEARING THE GOOD NEWS
How can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? Romans 10:14-15
The Lord gave us the great commission to share His Gospel with others. For how can people believe in Christ if they have not heard His Word? “Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” Romans 10:17
All of us should become evangelists. Evangelism is one hungry beggar showing another hungry beggar where to find the Bread of Life – Jesus Christ. Time is running out. The most worthwhile thing you can do in your life is to tell somebody about Jesus Christ, to preach the Gospel, to see someone receiving and accepting Christ’s salvation.
When I was young I had a desire to become a preacher. The minister at my church said that unless I went to a university and studied I could never be a preacher. Unfortunately, I believed him. As a result I went into the far country, just like the prodigal son. I went to Australia and became a cowboy. I used to ride horses for a living. I did a lot of things I’m not proud of. To earn money, I picked pineapples in Queensland, and milked cows in Scotland. I was a coal heaver, and stacked bricks. What was I doing? I was trying to find a purpose for my life because I thought I could never be a preacher.
Now I know the truth. Every child of God is sent out to preach the Gospel to the whole world.
Lord Jesus, I want to be a bearer of Your good news. I want to spread Your message of salvation so that all creation can believe. Amen
