In John 16 we read how the Holy Spirit convinces people of their need for Jesus. However, here we read Satan is trying to blind people to their need. For those who have trusted Christ, the Holy Spirit has broken through the blindness Satan brings.
We should always pray before talking to someone about Jesus. There is an unseen battle for the hearts of people that goes beyond the words we will speak. Ask God to open the eyes of the person you want to introduce to Jesus.
