The 'God' Effect.
Sometimes we don't realize the significance of letting God enter our daily lives. We talk about it and we pray about it, but sometimes we don't see how great of influence God is when we seriously ask Him to come into our lives and allow ourselves to dwell in His presence. In the case of Joseph, the Bible didn't say Joseph recognized how God's presence is bringing a significant change to his life. But it did say that everybody else around him noticed it. Genesis 29:2-3 said. 'Potiphar noticed this and realized that the Lord was with Joseph, giving him success in everything he did.' Potiphar didn't just notice that Joseph was smart and succeeded in everything he did, but Potiphar could clearly see it was because God's presence was with Joseph that he could succeed. So, what happens is that Potiphar gave Joseph the authority to manage his entire household, and guess what? Look at verse 5 and we can see how God blessed Potiphar's household for Joseph's sake.
It's amazing the effect that God presence has in our lives. Having even just one person in a family or a community who faithfully serves Christ can bring huge flow of blessing for the entire household and community. If only having one person inviting God to reign over their daily lives can bring such influence, imagine the impact of an entire community that dwells in God's presence.
