Until the Spirit Comes

JOU 10 SOU 10

The Day of Pentecost is Not a One-Time Only Event

“The power of the Holy Spirit is completely opposite to the world’s power. The power of the Holy Spirit gives God’s children the ability to serve His purpose for our lives. The Holy Spirit’s power is unlike any other in the world. Only the power of the Holy Spirit can transform us, relieve our guilt, and heal our souls.” - Michael Yousseff

The waiting was over.  There was a sound, there were signs, and there was power to witness.  They received a divine ability to speak to their audience.  Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  The power of the baptism of the Holy Spirit in the book of Acts was meant to empower the church to reach everyone to the very ends of the earth.  While there are still people to reach, God will empower us and send us.  The events of Acts are meant to continue today—He is the same today, and today the great commission still awaits our response.

Do you need to receive a fresh empowering of the Holy Spirit for today and always?

Waiting can be difficult. Behind closed doors, praying and waiting for the gift of the Spirit… for ten days. God is up to something!
