Ordinary Instructions, Extraordinary Faith

We tell the world who our God is by the way we handle the smallest tasks He gives us.

Our God is mighty, magnificent, and unlimited. But He often sparks the greatest changes in us through the smallest acts of obedience.

When we handle ordinary instructions with extraordinary faith, we offer ourselves as a canvas for God's miracle working power to be put on display.

Naaman was known as a great and powerful man. As an army commander for the King of Aram, he did not take requests lightly. Even though he was a man of great accomplishment and repute, he carried with him a debilitating skin disease that would threaten everything he had.

At first, Naaman scoffed at Elisha's command. Dipping seven times in a dirty river seemed too small or too insignificant for Naaman to obey.

Likewise, many of us don't recognize the power that lies beneath God's simplest commands. Naaman was healed by a simple instruction that led to a great miracle - and to Naaman's realization of who God truly was.

Don't ignore God's ordinary instruction. Remember, it may be the key that unlocks an extraordinary faith we could never experience otherwise.

Pray:

God, You are a miracle worker. I know that You're capable of anything. You can use the simplest of commands to create the greatest displays of Your glory. Keep my perspective true, Lord, so that I can complete Your ordinary instructions with extraordinary faith. In Jesus' name, Amen.
