6and Chamor the father of Shechem is came out to Yaakov, to speak with him. 7and the sons of Yaakov are having come from field, when they have it heard; and the men have self aggrieved, and they have strong burning what he has committed a outrage against Israel, to lie with the daughter of Yaakov, which like this it is required not done become.
8and Chamor has spoken with them, thus to say: the soul of my son Shechem desires after your daughter. gives her him, I entreat you (PL), for a wife. 9and are self intermarry with us; your (PL) daughters will you (PL) us give, and our daughters will you (PL) you yourselves (PL) take. 10and you (PL) will self settle by us, and this land will lie before you (PL); sit and turn over/trade in it and consolidate/get land you (PL) in it. 11and Shechem has said to her father and to her brothers: let me find favor in your (PL) eyes, and what you (PL) will me tell, will I give. 12multiply on me dowry and gifts until utmost, and I will give even as you (PL) will me tell, but give me the na'arah for a wife.
13have the sons of Yaakov answered Shechem and his father Chamor with deceit/deception, and they have spoken – for he has defiled their sister Dinah – 14and they have to them said: we can not do the this thing, to give our sister to a man which is uncircumcised, because this is a disgrace for us. 15only with the stipulation will we consent to you (PL): if you (PL) will become thus as we, that by you (PL) shall circumcised become each male. 16then will we you (PL) give our daughters, and your (PL) daughters will we us take, and we will self settle by you (PL), and become one people. 17but that you (PL) will not listen to us, you (PL) to circumcise, will we take our daughter, and we will go away.
18and their words are good pleasing in the eyes of Chamor, and in the eyes of Shechem the son of Chamor. 19and the young man has not delayed to do the thing, for he has yearned for after the daughter of Yaakov; and he is having been the eminent of the entire house of his father. 20and Chamor and his son Shechem are having come to gate of their city, and have spoken to the men of their city, thus to say: 21the these men are in peace with us; shall they self settle in land, and turn over/trade in it; for see, this land lies spacious in location before them. their daughters will we us take for wives, and our daughters will we them give. 22but only with the stipulation will the men consent to us self to settle by us, to become one people, that by us shall circumcised become each male, thus as they are circumcised. 23their livestock, and their purchased property, and all their livestock, will yet be ours; shall we only consent to them, and they shall self settle by us.
24have all outgoers from the gate of his city paid heed to Chamor and to his son Shechem, and all males are circumcised having become, all outgoers from the gate of his city.
25and it is having been on third day, when they are having been in pain, have Yaakov's two sons, Shim'on and Levi, the brothers of Dinah, taken each his sword, and they are having come (with) confidence on the city, and have killed all males. 26also Chamor and his son Shechem have they killed with edge of sword; and they have taken Dinah from Shechem's house, and are having come out. 27are the sons of Yaakov having come on the killed (ones), and have looted/plundered the city, for they have defiled their sister; 28their sheep and their cattle and their donkeys, whether what in town, whether what in field, have they taken; 29and their all possessions, and all their small children and their wives, have they captured and took away plundered – all that which in house.
30has Yaakov said to Shim'on and to Levi: you (PL) have me driven to ruin, me to make repugnant by the inhabitants of land, by the Kena'ani and by the Perizzi; because I am a handful men, and they will self assemble against me, and will me strike, and I and my house will exterminated become. 31have they said: shall one thus as with a prostitute self treat/handle with our sister?
