“The Vision”

Can a nation be born in a moment (see Isa. 66:8)? The answer is a definite “yes”! I saw it with my own eyes on 22 April 2017, on a farm four kilometres outside Bloemfontein, South Africa. The farm’s name is Wilde Als. On that memorable day, we saw many people receive healing physically, mentally, and most of all spiritually.

It all started through the miracle-working power of Jesus Christ. The Lord uses ordinary situations and very ordinary people to accomplish His great feats on earth. I won’t be convinced otherwise that our God uses nobodies to do His bidding.

I was sitting in my quiet time room six weeks prior to 22 April 2017, minding my own business, having a very special quiet time with the Lord Jesus Christ. A two-minute video clip was sent to me on my mobile phone by an Afrikaans farmer. On the clip he spoke in Afrikaans. All of a sudden the man in the clip switched to English and said, “Uncle Angus, call all of us and we will come!” 

My immediate reaction to this challenge was: “Why don’t you do it yourself?” But I responded by saying that I would answer that clip after I had prayed to the Lord Jesus Christ. A couple of days later, halfway through my early morning jog (I run 8 km four times a week with my two little dogs), I almost audibly heard the voice of God. He said two things: “It’s time,” and, “one million people.” 

I sensed the Lord telling me to find a venue in the Bloemfontein area, which lies at the heart and centre of our country. After minimal investigations from our side, a farm was offered to us a mere 4 km north of the city of Bloemfontein. The area was approximately 800 hectares. 

We put together a small committee and travelled to Bloemfontein to meet up with a handful of dedicated Jesus followers. God uses very small groups of men and women to do massive work for Him. 

The Lord gave us a clear date: 22 April. Exactly one week after Easter. How appropriate! And then we started letting the nation know by faith of what was forthcoming.
