Radiant YTH Adventનમૂનો
Paul teaches in his letter to the Roman church that we should be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. Okay: hope makes you joyful, praying faithfully: got it. But what was that about being patient in affliction? Why would I want to be patient when life is hard? And what does that all have to do with each other?
Holding onto hope and praying often are the ingredients to be able to stand up against the pressures of life. Remember: hope comes from confidence that God is who He says He is and that His plans for us are good. Prayer is our pathway to connecting with God. It’s how we can pour out our heart to Him. It’s also how we give Him space to speak to us and strengthen us, especially when life gets us down. Prayer is also how we can be filled with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit!
God is our refuge, our place of safety. And He has given us the privilege and access to Him, through Jesus, so we can turn to Him and lean on Him. Our response is to simply talk to Him and bring those things we are facing to Him. He will always make a way.
- Bottom Line: Hope is something we can rejoice in, even when life is tough. Patience in trouble and persistence in prayer help us maintain hope in Christ.
- Response: When you are praying about a challenging situation, write out your prayer. In it, write out how you are trusting God to handle it.
