Insufficient answers
So often as we walk through life, we reach a point where we think: “I know God, and I know how He works. I know His ways.” We quickly arrive at a place where we believe our past experiences have given us a good idea of God and His way of doing things. But then, suddenly, God starts to work differently. That is when the spiritual life gets challenging and confusing. “What happened to God now?” “What did I do wrong?”
Then we realise that we are not as “spiritual” as we thought, don't know as much as we thought, and don't have as many answers to life’s challenges and questions as we thought we did. During these times, the only way forward is to die to ourselves—our opinions, desires, and our understanding of Scripture. Take out your Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to give you a deeper understanding of Scripture, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
In Romans 11:33-36 Paul describes who God is and also His works:
O depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God!
How inscrutable are His judgments,
how inscrutable His ways!
"Who knows the intention of the Lord?
Who counsels Him?
Who does Him a favour,
so He's obligated to do something in return?"
Out of Him and through Him and to Him are all things.
To Him belongs the glory forever! Amen.
We need to think carefully about each of these sentences. The one thing we desire is to understand God, and for this reason, we invent dogmas. We want to make God "small enough" so that we can understand Him because then we, too, will have answers to our questions. Do we really want a God who has been "domesticated" by us with our tiny little minds? If we had managed to do that, we would have only made God as small as we are!

About this Plan
As we go through life, we will face situations that cause us to ask difficult questions. These questions will come from pain, failure, humiliation, and powerlessness. There are no answers to all our questions, but it is still possible to live meaningful lives with what God has revealed to us from His Word.
