Qualifying to Work With God (Criteria for Divine Partnership)

DAY 12 OF 30

STRIVE FOR A STRONG AND WHOLE SPIRIT

The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?

It is one thing to know what to do, but it's another to have a strong spirit and carry it through. As ministers of the gospel, we must never allow anything negative to get into our spirits.

This injury to the spirit can come from a direct satanic assault; it can come because of sin, and it can come because of the hurt that men do to us. As ministers of the gospel, you are not given a right to defend yourself from the pulpit, and you must never use the pulpit to defend yourself. At the same time, you must never let the devil bring you down as he did to John the Baptist. John the Baptist didn't die because he attacked Herod; he lost his head because he took offence at Jesus. Jesus was the one that John said, "Are you the one to come, or should we be looking for another one?" Jesus knew what the message meant, the people that He sent did not know what it meant, but Jesus knew.

The man the Lord will work with must have a strong, whole, healthy spirit that can stand and boldly break through for God even in a hostile environment. A strong spirit carrying the anointing will break through anything for God, but the wounded spirit, the Bible says, who can bear?

PRAYER: Father, I receive divine fortification for a strong, whole, and healthy spirit. Through God, I will do valiantly.
