Part 3 SUICIDE

DAY 3 OF 3

RESPECT YOUR LIFE!

‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
"For You have been a defense for the helpless, a defense for the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat." Romans 5:6

Romans 5:6 reminds us that as we seek the Lord, He is for us; He will defend those who feel they are without hope. He becomes our refuge through the storms of life. Stop seeking the thoughts that want to overpower, rather seek the very One who loves you and can give power to bind up those thoughts.

As I complete the series today, I would be lax if I didn’t address the needless deaths contributed to drug abuse. I have 4 people in my personal life who have died of drug overdose; one was intentional and the other 3 just never thought it would happen to them. The horror of parents trying to give life support to their dying son, a sister finding her brother, a policeman telling a mother her daughter was found deceased in her car, and a wife with 2 children left, because of drug overdoses.

According to the CDC in the United States alone, 105,452. People died as a result of drugs in 2022. According to the World Health Organization, Worldwide, in 2019 about 600,000 deaths were attributable to drug use. Close to 80% of these deaths are related to opioids, with about 25% of those deaths caused by opioid overdose.

PRAYER: Abba Father, the world needs You in a personal way! Without You, there is no hope. Father, let us think of our soul more than our mind and our physical needs. Let us realize how very much You love each one of us and that You did not send Jesus into the world to condemn, but to save. Let man value life, In Jesus’ Name. Amen
