6 Prayers for Engaged Couples નમૂનો
Kindness and Forgiveness
Today’s verse is a life verse for your marriage. We live in a world that sees very little kindness. We are not very tolerant of people who act and think differently than we do. We have very little, if any, control of what goes on in the world but we do have control of what goes on in our home and marriage. Our homes need to be a refuge for us from the outside world. They need to be a place where kindness towards each other is done consistently day after day. Forgiveness needs to be a place you both go to often.
You are both flawed human beings. You will screw up. You will hurt each other’s feelings. You will disagree on things. You will want and need your spouse’s forgiveness. I often tell people that if they are in a relationship before marriage with someone who will not forgive, run!
Today’s verse reminds us that God has forgiven us greatly. As recipients of that forgiveness, He calls us to extend that forgiveness to one another. If you are not already doing so, begin making kindness and forgiveness a daily part of your relationship.
Prayer:
Lord fill our lives with more of You. Fill our relationship with kindness and peace. Help us to cultivate kindness and forgiveness. Provide us with the grace to be kind and compassionate, even when the other is difficult to love. Help us to create a relationship and a home where we confess often, forgive freely, and love always. Amen!
