Praying for Friends in Need: A 5-Day Study by Asheritah Ciuciuનમૂનો
AGING PARENTS
“Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.”
ISAIAH 46:4
RECITE GOD’S GOODNESS
Creator God, You loved my parents before they were born, and all their days
were known to You. I praise You that You’ve foreseen all their health challenges
and difficulties, and You promise to provide for all their needs from Your
glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
EXPRESS YOUR NEEDINESS
Lord, it’s hard to see the people who’ve cared for me now needing to be cared
for. Help me honor and serve them without resentment, as I would serve You.
Be near them as their bodies grow frail and their minds age. Be their everpresent
help, and reassure them of their continued worth, even in old age.
SEEK HIS STILLNESS
Sit in the presence of the One with whom a thousand years is like a day. Allow His
constant, loving presence to fill you with all you need for this moment.
TRUST HIS FAITHFULNESS
I trust You, Lord, to sustain my parents today, even as You did from their very
first breath, and as You will do to their last. Grant me joy in serving and loving
them today.
