The Other Five Prayer Journeyનમૂનો
Who Cares For The Other Five?
Psalm 142:4: “Look to the right and see: there is none who takes notice of me; no refuge remains to me; no one cares for my soul.”
David cries out to the Lord because he feels that he has been abandoned, completely forgotten. He feels alone to face circumstances beyond his control and surrounded by numerous enemies. In a spiritual sense, this is the condition of those that are without Christ, and I can’t help but ask myself how much we care for the forgotten, the neglected, and the lost? Have we excused ourselves from certain places and some people groups because of those that suggest we should?
The Other Five are the 5 out of 6 people in Latin America Caribbean (LAC) that are not yet disciples of Jesus. It is true that they may live in a region of the world where there are churches and Bible Schools. The people in that region may even be over 10 percent reached. This way of considering who we take notice of is a present danger to the more than 80 percent that are not yet reached. We communicate that we don’t care for souls when we move our attention, resources, and prayer elsewhere. The thing is that these soul care decisions should be guided by the Lord of the harvest, the One that truly cares most for every soul. The One that cares most should be foremost in determining where the focus should be directed as we PRAY, GO, AND GIVE. Rather than turning a blind eye to the ready harvests around the world that the Spirit has prepared, we need to make every effort to be a part of this real-time, greatest evangelism taking place in Latin America and the Caribbean. The lost, that some may not take notice of, need to know that we still care for their souls.
Prayer: Lord, we join You in the harvest, in those places where You are moving by Your Spirit. May the righteous surround the other five of LAC and be God’s refuge to them. While there is a season of harvest, we will show by our words and our actions that because You care, we will care.
