He Leads Me Beside Still Waters

DAY 4 OF 7

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff - they comfort me.

I don't know about you but these times of COVID-19 feel like very dark valleys.  There's so much loneliness and confusion; every day brings a new situation and a new change.  I have found my mood declining and the darkness enveloping me.

It is in these darkest times that I lean heaviest on God, that I pray most and read the Bible most.  Do you do the same?

When life is hard we are not alone, God is with us in every moment of our lives.  We do not need to fear because God is with us, shining a light of hope ahead of us.

Today, offer up your fears and stress to God.  You might want to write them down and then offer them in prayer, or burn them prayerfully.  You might want to use art to process them, knowing that God knows our heart without words needed.  You might want to be silent with God and receive his peace.  You might want to talk to a friend and know that God is with you both in that conversation.  Whatever feels right, do that and know God is with you.

Prayer:

Lord God

Thank you for being with me every day.  Help me to hear you more clearly as you guide me through the storms of life and to know that I am safe in your care.

Amen

About this Plan

He Leads Me Beside Still Waters

How do you cope in times of anxiety, depression, grief or uncertainty? Life can feel like we are being battered by one storm after another, barely able to find rest before a new challenge is upon us. Through the words of Psalm 23 we will be reminded that God promises us peace in anxiety, hope in depression and comfort in grief.
