Love God Greatly: Jesus Our Everythingનમૂનો
After explaining a great deal about the supremacy of Christ, the author of Hebrews made an unexpected shift in his message. Here, he exhorts his audience about their maturity and understanding of Christian teaching. They had continued to cover the same ideas again and again, refusing to move on to deeper topics or teach others what they should have mastered.
While it is crucial to have a solid understanding of the foundational truths of the gospel and doctrines of the faith, our relationship with God and life of faith should continually grow and mature. That does not mean we will continually feel closer to God or better at the “Christian life.” It means we will continually learn new things about God’s character, theology, the Bible, and what it means to live in community with other believers.
Our goal is maturity. Maturity does not always look like blessing after blessing. In fact, it can often be the opposite. The more we know and understand the gospel, God’s character, and His heart for the world, the more we are able to teach others. Let us press on to an increasingly deeper and more mature understanding of what it means to live as a redeemed people of God.
Dear God, help me fight the urge to become complacent in my faith. Even though it may mean discomfort, I pray You will continually mature and grow me in my faith and in my relationship with You. Help me be willing to know You more, regardless of what that may look like in my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.

About this Plan
Jesus Our Everything is a 6-week Bible study on the Book of Hebrews. As we study and meditate on the supremacy of Christ, we seek to have our lives transformed by Him. He alone is worthy of our praise. He alone is worthy of our affection. He is our everything. All our hope is in Him.
