How God Sees Youનમૂનો
DRAW NEAR
You may have heard people say that sometimes God is silent—that there are times when He withdraws Himself from us. Religious teaching says that when you can’t “feel” God’s presence with you or in you, He’s disappeared or maybe wandered away from you, disinterested in your problems.
That’s the same mentality that says that if you do a bunch of good works and try to earn back His favor, He’ll show up again. It’s sad, incorrect thinking.
When Jesus died on the cross, He became your substitute. You no longer have to bear the separation that came from sin. In Matthew 27:46, the Bible says that Jesus bore separation from God. In those last minutes of His life, He cried out, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” He had never been separated from the presence of His Father—what a desperate feeling that must have been for Him.
But He did it for you and for me. Jesus took on Himself our sin that caused separation, which means we no longer have to be separated. Jesus made the way for you to be as close as you want to God!
Don’t ever let anyone tell you that God is far from you or that He doesn’t want you; that He’s left you or disqualified you. He worked for 4,000 years to bring you back into perfect fellowship with Him. He gave His most precious gift for you—His only begotten Son (see 1 Pet. 1:18-19).
He will never ever withhold His presence from you. The devil may try to keep you from Him, your flesh may fight you, but God is on your side. Hebrews 10:21-23 says we can draw near to Him with full assurance.
Ever since Jesus paid the price for your sin, God has been saying “draw near.” The way is open! It’s your choice. I encourage you to draw near. God sees you as His beloved child. Jesus paid your entrance, once and for all.
