Six Days With Spurgeonનમૂનો
John 17:23 "I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me."
Jesus' call to Peter is also a call to unity among His body as well. Just as He prayed that we would be one as He is one with the Father in John 17:23.
We are not called to dine with Him alone. He calls us together. And while we may differ on a variety of opinions, we all have the same spiritual appetite: Jesus Christ. Even if we do not all think alike, we all seek the same Source for life itself: Jesus Christ.
At the table of fellowship, Jesus offers us the same cup and the same drink: His life.
Draw nearer to Jesus, my friend. Hear His voice. Let it stop you in the busy distractions of our everyday lives. Throw down the net. Jump into the water as Peter did. Make haste to dine with Christ. If you do, you will find yourself linked to Him more and more in Spirit than you knew even possible before. He is not hard to find. Just say His name. Gaze at His Word. Invite Him to remain with you, and you with Him.
And as we each draw nearer to Jesus, we will also each draw nearer to each other. This is His heart for us. Unity makes Him smile. Disunity dishonors His sacrifice. The more near we are to Jesus, the more near we ought to be to one another. To look at Jesus is to find the strength to serve Him, and to serve others.
Oh, how we tire ourselves out chasing after things and schedules which only lead to empty nets. If we would but rest in the presence of Jesus, we would discover the contentment of dining with the One who provides all.
Be near to Him. Love His people. Discover His nourishment. Enjoy your breakfast. Then, do it again.
