The Triangle Of What Controls Youનમૂનો
In 2010, I began the practice of choosing a verse for the year.Every year since then, I’ve chosen a short passage of Scripture to study extensively for an entire 12-month period.
I can’t recommend this practice enough. It really has transformed my life, my walk with God, and my understanding of the Bible in powerful ways.
This devotional plan is the fruit of that very first study I began all those years ago when I chose Colossians 3:1-17 as my verse for the year. This single passage holds some of the most tremendous insights recorded in all of the New Testament.
But over the next few days, I want to focus on one single idea. An idea that has quite literally reshaped how I approach, feed, and share my faith.
What is it?
That in those seventeen verses in Colossians, we are given the exact framework of what controls us: why we do what we do, say what we say, and think as we think.
If we can identity exactly what controls us, we can change it.
Altar it.
Transform it.
And in doing so, transform our lives in the process.
This devotional is about the Triangle of What Controls You – and how we can begin controlling it.
Tomorrow, we’ll see exactly what that triangle looks like.
