Real LifeExemple

For those of us who have never lost our freedom, it’s hard to imagine what it would feel like to be so powerless. To have no control over your day-to-day life. To be forced to live a life where your choices don’t feel like your own. When we’re caught in a life of sin, we can often feel just as powerless. Each day can feel like a series of choices that lead us farther and farther away from who we want to be. This cycle feels impossible for us to escape in our own power.

If we were truly honest with ourselves, we would admit that it probably is impossible. But God never asks us to face the difficulties of life on our own. There is no expectation for us to lean on our own strength or to overcome the temptations of the enemy ourselves. Instead, we can rely on the Spirit that resides in each of us as children of God. God Himself placed the Spirit in our hearts to help guide us toward a life of freedom with Him. All we have to do is accept Jesus Christ as our Savior to receive that gift.
