31 Values to Pray for Your Kids

DAY 1 OF 31

Salvation

As parents, our hearts overflow with love and concern for the well-being of our children. We long to see them flourish, find purpose and joy in life, and experience God's grace and salvation.

Today, we will read a few passages in scripture that remind us that while we want these things for these kids, God desires them even more.

In Isaiah 45:8, we are reminded of God's promise to bring salvation like the dawn, shining His light into the darkest corners of our lives. As we pray today, we hold onto this promise, trusting that God will illuminate their path.

In 2 Timothy 2:10, the apostle Paul speaks of the salvation found in Christ Jesus. We want our children to come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior and experience lives marked by faithfulness and joy.

In Luke 19:1-10, we encounter the story of Zacchaeus, a tax collector who found salvation in Jesus. His encounter with Jesus changed his life and turned him into who God designed him to be. Like Zacchaeus, our children will have their struggles and shortcomings, but we know that the Lord is faithful and uses every opportunity to draw them close to Him.

Today, let’s pray that they will encounter Jesus in a life-changing way, just as Zacchaeus did, and that His love and forgiveness will transform their lives. As we pray for our kids today, remember that God loves our children even more than we do. Let’s put our faith and trust in what God will do in them and pray regularly for God to draw them closer to Him.

Pray:

Father, in Jesus’ name, let salvation spring up within my children so they may obtain salvation through your son, Jesus Christ. We know that you love them with an everlasting love that will draw them closer to you. We pray that your light will shine brightly in their hearts, illuminating the path of righteousness while filling them with your peace and joy. Guide them, protect them, and draw them close to you. We pray in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus, amen.
