Leading Others to His Presence
When I experience something great, I want to share it with the people I love, not keep it to myself. This mindset of shared experiences later became the main premise that drove my goals as a worship leader. The more I experienced the presence of God, the more I wanted others to experience it as well. I thought if I could just expose people to His presence in the slightest, they would desire to press in themselves.
Recently, I was praying early in the morning, like I often do, and the Lord gave me a quick vision that reminded me of the fear of the dark I had as a child. I was standing in a dark room and the door was cracked with a very bright and distinct beam of light streaming through. I knew it was the glory of the Lord shining on the other side, but why wasn’t the door all the way open? I found myself intensely desiring the door to swing wide so I could see the Lord’s face, but I wouldn’t take the step to open it for some reason. My desire for His glory intensified along with my awareness of the room’s darkness. The end.
How many of us have been there? We desire all He has for us and to be in His presence, but we simply won’t open the door. We can see this desperation for God throughout scripture.
I want to experience all of Him, and I want that for others too. That’s why I have such a passion for leading others into His presence and using creative skills as the main avenue.
My prayer for you is that through your creativity, you would provide a glimpse of His presence to those who may have never experienced it before and that through your anointed skill set, you can crack the door to those who have been living in darkness their whole life, revealing the splendor of His glory.
