DAY 2 OF 7

Bringing Anointing

I learned very quickly that leading people into the presence of the Lord doesn’t require you to be a musician or a pastor. It doesn’t even require you to be the best at your craft. What it does require is an anointing and empowerment through the Holy Spirit. This is why you can attend a worship service with the best musicians and vocalists the world has to offer but never sense the Lord’s manifested presence.

In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit didn’t operate within every believer the way He does now under the new covenant and after the day of Pentecost. When the Lord filled someone with His Spirit, it was for a very specific purpose. In Exodus 31, it was to equip Bezalel to be the best craftsman and leader in the nation of Israel to help build the elements of the Tabernacle.

I’m telling you this: when you allow the Spirit of God to partner with your giftings and skills, the Lord wants to do supernatural things through you!

This is the first time in scripture that it says the Lord filled someone with His Spirit, and it was for a creative purpose! Bezalel and his team were creatives! When the Spirit of the Lord came upon them, their skills and giftings were heightened to new levels equipping them to do what the Lord was preparing for them. When the Spirit of the Lord paired with these men’s already present giftings, supernatural things were created! Don’t discredit yourself. Instead, invite the Holy Spirit into your creative process. Whether it be songwriting, graphic design, photography, project management, financial investing, or even cleaning toilets, your skill is waiting to be elevated through the Spirit of God.

An anointing is something divine where the Holy Spirit partners with you to accomplish the Father’s will and reveal His heart to His people. When talents and giftings are paired with anointing, something supernatural happens.

Be patient. It may take time for you to learn how the Holy Spirit interacts with you in your creative process. He wants to deposit and activate supernatural giftings into your craft and skill, just like Bezalel.
