Day 2: Fear to freedom

Think About:

God had shown His people miracle after miracle to prove He was with them and wanted them to be free, yet they were still afraid when Pharaoh’s army came after them. But exactly when they were most afraid, God’s greatest miracle was just ahead! God showed them His great love and great protection. He stood between them, their enemy and their fear. He made a way for them through the sea. He destroyed their enemy. The Israelites just had to have the courage to take the next step with Him to find the freedom He had always planned for them.

What Now?

How can I be like Moses in this story? 

Know that God is with you, even when you are afraid. Maybe your greatest fear is going to school, or reading in class, or being in the dark. Maybe you’re scared about something happening in your family.  God has not left you. He is with you. 

Today, ask Him to help you face what you are afraid of and lead you away from fear to freedom because you know He is protecting you. Maybe you could help your friends who are afraid to know that God is with them too. You could pray for them.
